Assistant District Attorney Ian M. Jones proscecuting jail violence, grand larceny, and assaulting a police officer

Defendant’s Name:  Cody A. Hogue

Address:  Belmont, New York       

Charges:  Assault 2nd (D felony)             

Court Appearance Date:  March 22, 2023

Proceedings:  Cody A. Hogue was indicted by a grand jury for Assault 2nd (D felony) following a fight within the Allegany County Jail.  The fight is alleged to have resulted in injury to another inmate.

Defendant’s Name:  Kyle Yaglowski

Address:  Wellsville, New York       

Charges:      Grand Larceny 2nd (C felony)

Court Appearance Date:  March 22, 2022

Proceedings:  Kyle Yaglowski was indicted by an Allegany County grand jury for Grand Larceny in the 2nd degree.  It is alleged that back on July 29, 2022, Yaglowski stole a vehicle from a driveway in the Village of Wellsville.  The defendant will be arraigned on the indictment in Allegany County Court on April 13, 2023.

Defendant’s Name:  Brian J. Learn

Address:  Bolivar, New York       

Charges:      Assault on a Police Officer (a class C felony); and
Resisting Arrest (a class A misdemeanor)            

Court Appearance Date:  March 29, 2022

Proceedings:  Brian J. Learn has been sentenced to 3 years in state prison and 5 years of post-release supervision following an incident in which he resisted arrest and caused injury to an officer.  At sentencing, 1st Assistant District Attorney, Ian M. Jones stated that violence against law enforcement will not be tolerated in Allegany County and the People will pursue incarceration for charges that involve acts of violence toward police.
