Northern Potter Track and Field kicks off season with multiple first place finishes

The Northern Potter track and field team kicked off the season with a meet against Johnsonburg, Otto Eldred, and St. Marys.

For the girls, Rebecca Martin led the way winning the 3200 m, javelin, 1600 m, and running a leg on the winning 4 x 800 m relay. Rebecca teamed with Harley Thompson, Molly Cady, and Marian Hamilton in the relay. Molly won the 300 m hurdles and triple jump. Marian won the 800 m. Harley picked up third place finishes in the 1600 m and 3200 m. Dakota Lampman placed second in discus.

In the boys meet, Noah Sherman won the 400 m and placed second in the 200 m. Nolen Smith won the 300 m hurdles, placed third in the 200 m, and placed second in the long jump. Joe Lehman placed second in the 3200 m and 1600 m. Noah, Nolen, and Joe teamed with Conhar Snyder for a second place finish in the 4 x 800 m relay. Levi Lampman won the shot put and placed second in the discus. Malachi Lewis won the javelin. Dawson Walaski placed in the top ten in discus and javelin.

The Panthers are back in action next Tuesday when they travel to Coudersport.
