Allegany County Call to Action!

Dear Fellow Taxpayers,

For those of you who have not seen the recent news, Governor Hochul’s State Fiscal Year 2024 budget includes a cost-shift of Medicaid expenses from Albany to the counties. This administrative change will result in $625 million dollars in additional costs to property taxpayers statewide and $1.2 million in Allegany County alone.

There is still time to advocate on our own behalf before the budget is enacted. Would you please consider taking a few minutes to post one of the included images to your social media accounts? Also, please consider tagging the state leaders listed below.

Thank you for your consideration in joining the fight to hold the State accountable for their own programs and out-of-control Medicaid costs!

W. Brooke Harris, Chair

Allegany County Legislature
