It started when Wellsville and Hornell Sun columnist and WHAM talk show host Bob Lonsberry posted two photos on Facebook.
The photos were shared by Dave Ritz, who said the photos were taken by his father of “some unusual airborne object visible from Short Tract Road near Hunt in Allegany County.”
The photos didn’t stop there.
Our readers say they saw the object in Potter County and Portville.
There is a video posted by Kimberly Anastasia who said a friend caught the video Wednesday night around 7 p.m. between Turtle Point, Pa. and Port Allegany , Pa.

The post said the person who shot the video saw it close before the video and couldn’t get his phone working. But he did get enough of it. He said “it is the most amazing and creepiest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”
