ATTENTION ALLEGANY COUNTY VOTERS
You have an Election on August 23, 2022 Poll Site hours: 6am-9pm
Early Voting is available August 13th – 21st hours can be found on our website.
There will be 2 elections held at the same time!!
- This Election will be for both a Special Election (every registered voter is eligible) and a Republican Primary (just registered Republicans). They are on the same day & same hours.
- There will be 2 separate ballots. 1 for the Special Election all registered voters can vote in & the Republican Primary that only registered Republican can vote in. Both Elections are for the Congressional seat in the 23rd district.
- The Special Election everyone can vote in is to fill the vacant Congressional seat in the 23rd, district. The term ends 12/31/22.
- The Republican primary is to choose the Republican candidate that will appear in the November election on the Republican line for a full term.

In regards to Party Enrollment Changes for the August Primary Election
ALL PARTY ENROLLMENT CHANGES FOR THE AUGUST PRIMARY ELECTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE BOARD OF ELECTION
NO LATER THAN 4:00PM AUGUST 11, 2022.
Republican Primary
Any party change to enroll in the Republican Party MUST be to the Board of Elections no later than the August 11th deadline. This must be in our office by 4:00pm. There is NO mail receipt date other than the 11th. Anything left in our drop box after the close of business on the 11th will not be considered timely.
