The June 14th crime that shocked the community appears to be solved
Last evening (7/21/22) the Wellsville Police executed an arrest warrant on Eric T. Logue, age 42 from Wellsville, charging him with Criminal Sale of Controlled Substance 5th and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell 5th, stemming from an incident which occurred in June. Simultaneously, the police executed a search warrant of Logue’s residence located at 20 Clark St. in the Village, in relation to the Veteran’s grave markers stolen from the Sacred Heart Cemetery on June 14th. With the evidence collected from the residence, witness statements and video surveillance, police charged Logue with thirteen (13) counts of Cemetery Desecration 1st, Grand Larceny 4th and Criminal Mischief 4th. Additionally, Logue was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. Logue was arraigned in Village Court and released on his own recognizance pending electronic home monitoring through the Allegany County Department of Probation.
