The well-known Vietnam veteran will receive a full military burial at Woodlawn Cemetery

The family of David H Garwood, the legendary local figure who died on January 4th, will be laid to final rest with his family from all over the world in Wellsville to say a final goodbye.
Dave was one of four brothers, Gerry, and Kevin with families will be coming in from California. The youngest brother, Lon, will be making the trip from his home in South Korea. The surviving Garwood brothers hope you will join them for a Dave day.
A full military honor burial will begin at 1:30pm on Saturday May 14th in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellsville NY. The public is welcome to attend, even if you didn’t know Dave, a military funeral service is always a worthwhile experience.
Family, friends, fans, and members of the greater military community are all invited and encouraged to gather at Better Days, the longstanding Main Street pub, about 5pm, to raise a glass and catch up with the Garwood boys. Better Days opens at noon on Saturday’s for the more traditional day drinker.
