Krysta Grace Kane, 16, of Hazzard Road, tragically died on Monday, April 11, 2022 in a house fire with her significant other, Raymond Erway. She was born on July 19, 2005 in Olean, the daughter of Jonathon Kane and Jean Dunn.
Krysta attended elementary school in Bolivar-Richburg, and was currently a sophomore at Scio Central School. She was a member of 4H and was looking forward to showing goats at the Allegany County Fair with the Erway Family. She enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and especially riding her horse, spending time with her grandparents, sister Lelynn, and boyfriend Raymond. She will be remembered as a kind soul.
She is survived by: her parents, Jean (Donald Webster) Dunn and Jonathon Kane; a sister, Lelynn Kane of Scio; paternal grandfather, Dale Kane of Scio; maternal grandparents, Sharon (Rex) Gross of Friendship, and Brian Ward of Friendship; three aunts, Melissa (Reuben) Stocking of Scio, Nancy Kane of Florida, Tracey (Jimmy) Carlson of Buffalo; two uncles, DJ Warner of Friendship and John Ward of Tennessee; and several cousins. She was predeceased by: her grandmother, Eileen Kane; her favorite horse, Diana; and her beloved dog, Oliver.
