The National Weather Service told the Wellsville Sun today they believe we had the worst of the snow fall overnight, as four to eight inches fell on Wellsville depending on where you live.

The snow will fall during the day, ending around 6 p.m., meteorologists said.

On Sunday, another inch of snow is expected.

Of course, being this area of New York, we will be back in short sleeves on Monday. While it won’t get over 23 degrees today, we will have a high of 52 degrees on Monday.

And don’t forget, daylight saving time starts tomorrow as well!

There was a one-vehicle accident just past the Trapping Brook House on Trapping Brook Road where a truck coming into the village went off the road and on its side just before midnight. Wellsville volunteer ambulance EMT’s were at the scene with a rescue truck and the fire department assisted as well. The volunteers not only secured the scene but set out flares and closed the road and assisted traffic.
