State Police arrest a Bath woman for Manslaughter 2nd Degree a class C Felony

Sad news involving the death of an infant in Bath

On February 11, 2022, the New York State Police in Bath arrested 22-year-old Cherokee-Cheyenne Shull of Bath, NY for Manslaughter 2nd Degree a class C Felony.

Troopers responded to Shull’s home in Bath on February 3, 2022, for a report of a medical emergency involving an infant.  Upon arrival by State Troopers, Bath Ambulance, and AMR Ambulance the child was found deceased. 

The arrest of Shull, (the infant’s mother), was made following an investigation into the death of the infant, three-week-old, Scarlett G. Beach. 

The Steuben County District Attorney’s Office and Steuben County Child Protective Services assisted with the investigation.  

 Shull was processed and remanded to the Steuben County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
