Officer-in-charge Stephen McPherson of the Bolivar Police Department released information about a recent arrest for serious crimes in the village of Bolivar. McPherson was the arresting officer and we asked him about the incident and injuries as a result of the assault.
“The injury was to my shoulder, he took off running on me and forced me to tackle him to make the arrest. I’m not sure what the damages are specifically, an orthoscopic exploratory surgery has been scheduled for February 1st.”
Officer McPherson explained that the department has plenty of part-time officers to provide coverage while he re-cooperates. Also the Bolivar-Richburg School Resource Officer, McPherson will know more about the extent of his injury after doctors make a diagnosis. Read the full police report below:
