A 92-Year-Old Female is the 80th Allegany County Resident to Pass Away as a Result of COVID-19

The Allegany County Department of Health (ACDOH) is sad to report to our residents and community that there has been one (1) additional COVID-19 related death bringing our local total to 80. This death, a female age 92, was due to complications or a consequence of COVID-19. We extend our deepest condolences to the family, and we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time.

The Allegany County Department of Health is making a plea to our County residents, if you have not been vaccinated yet, please get vaccinated. If you have been vaccinated, please get your booster. Getting the COVID-19 vaccine has shown to reduce the risk of hospitalizations, serious illness and death.

If you are looking for a vaccination location, go to www.alleganyco.com, see the Allegany County Department of Health Facebook page, visit www.vaccines.gov, or call the Allegany County Department of Health at (585) 268-9250 for more information.
