From Staff Reports, 11/10/21, All accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court

Friday November 5, 2021

Wellsville Police arrested John M. Kraus, age 53 of Friendship, charging him with Sexual Abuse 1st (Class D Felony). The charge stems from an incident that took place on Rauber Street in October of 2021. Kraus was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Kraus was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $10,000.00 cash bail or $20,000.00 property bond or $100,000.00 partially secured bond. Kraus is due back in Wellsville Village Court on November 16th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested a female, age 33 of Wellsville, charging her with Criminal Sale of Cannabis 3rd, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st. The charges stem from an incident that took place on North Broad Street on November 1st. She was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. The accused was released and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on December 21st at 4:30 pm.

Tuesday November 9, 2021

Wellsville Police arrested Schyler S. Kling, age 26 of Wellsville, charging him with Grand Larceny 4th (Class E Felony). The charges stem from a stolen vehicle complaint that took place on Seneca Street in the Village. Kling was located by Allegany County Sheriff’s Deputies and the New York State Police with the vehicle at his residence on the Hog Brook Road in the Town of Alma. Kling was additionally charged with Petit Larceny for an incident that took place at the 7-Eleven on South Main Street on November 7th and Grand Larceny 4th (Class E Felony) and AUO 3rd, for a stolen vehicle complaint from the Bolivar Road on November 6th. Kling was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Kling was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $20,000.00 cash bail, $40,000.00 property bond or $80,000.00 partially secured bond. Kling is due back in Wellsville Village Court on November 16th at 4:30 pm.
