**** WPD Public Service Notice ****

Wellsville Police are asking Village residents to lock their vehicles and ask that valuable items not be left in vehicles if at all possible. There have been some recent larcenies from vehicles and vehicle thefts in the area. Please call the Wellsville Police Department at (585) 593-5600 or 911 if you see suspicious activity in your neighborhood.

Friday October 29, 2021

Wellsville Police, acting on a Bench Warrant issued by the Wellsville Village Court, arrested a 37 year old female of Wellsville, for failure to appear in Court previous Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th and Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd charges. She was located by the City of Olean Police Department, taken into custody and turned over to Wellsville Police. The accused was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson and released. She is due back in Wellsville Village Court on November 16th at 4:30 pm.

Sunday October 31, 2021

Wellsville Police arrested female, age 33 of Belmont, charging her with DWI, DWI w/BAC of .08% or more, Operating while Registration Suspended or Revoked and Inadequate or no stop lamps. The charges stem from a traffic stop on the Bolivar Road in the Village. She was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released to a third party. The accused is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on December 7th at 4:30 pm.

Tuesday November 2, 2021

Wellsville Police, acting on a Bench Warrant issued by the Wellsville Village Court, arrested a female, age 36 of Wellsville, for Failure to Appear in Court on a previous Disorderly Conduct charge. She was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson and released. She was additionally charged with Harassment 2nd. The Harassment 2nd charges stem from an incident that took place on North Main Street in July. She was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson and released. The accused is due back in Wellsville Village Court on November 16th at 4:30 pm.

Thursday November 4, 2021

Wellsville Police arrested Schyler S. Kling, age 26 of Wellsville, charging him with Attempted Grand Larceny 4th and Trespass. The charges stem from an incident that took place on Rauber Street in the Village. Kling was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. Kling is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on November 16th at 4:30 pm.

Wow, just wow. This guy is a one man crime wave, personifying all that is wrong with “bail reform.”
