Jacqueline E. “Jackie” Baker, 85, passed away Sunday (October 10, 2021) at Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wellsville following a lengthy illness.

            Jackie was born at home in Andover on October 15, 1935, the daughter of Roger P. and Susie D. (Baker) Baker. She was a 1953 graduate of Andover Central School. Later that year, Jackie moved to Rochester where she lived most of her life working in the medical field.

            Jackie is survived by two sisters, Rosy (Lawrence) Hulse and Jeanie Baker, both of Portville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

            In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine Baker.

            Jackie enjoyed walking and loved a good non-fiction biography or a book on world events. In the words of her family, she was a very kind and thoughtful person and will be missed and loved dearly.

      There will be no prior visitation. A graveside service in Hillside Cemetery in Andover will be announced later. Arrangements are under the direction of Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Andover. Online condolences may be offered at www.baker-swan.com.
