From Staff Reports, 10/3/21, All accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law

Monday September 27, 2021

Wellsville Police arrested a Wellsville man, age 26, charging him with Criminal Impersonation 2nd, AUO 3rd and Speed in School Zone. The charges stem from a traffic stop on West State Street in the Village. He was processed, issued an appearance tickets and released. The accused is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on November 16th at 4:30 pm.

Wellsville Police arrested an 18 year old Scio youth, charging him with Rape 2nd (Class D Felony). The charges stem from an incident that took place in Wellsville in September. The youth was processed arraigned before Town of Amity Justice Gominiak. The youth was released under the supervision of the Allegany County Probation Department’s Pre-Trial release program and is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on October 19th at 4:30 pm.

Tuesday September 28, 2021

Wellsville Police arrested Wellsville man, age 57, charging him with DWI, DWAI – Drugs, Speed not reasonable & prudent, Passed Red Signal and Following too closely. The charges stem from a traffic accident that took place on West State Street at the Genesee Parkway intersection. He was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. The accused is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on November 23rd at 4:30 pm. Wellsville Police were assisted by the New York State Police for a DRE (Drug Recognition Expert). Additional charges are pending blood test results.

Friday October 1, 2021

Wellsville Police arrested a Wellsville woman, age 58, charging her with DWI, DWI w/BAC of .08% or more, Uninspected Motor Vehicle and Moved from lane unsafely. The charges stem from a traffic stop on South Brooklyn Avenue in the Village. She was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released to a third party. The acccused is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on November 16th at 4:30 pm.
