A woman is in Olean General Hospital today after an initial report she was struck by two vehicles while walking in Houghton on State Route 19 near County Road 49 Wednesday night.
State Police asked for a MercyFlight helicopter, but the conditions did not allow the helicopter to fly. She was taken by ambulance to Olean General around 9 p.m.
On Facebook, a family member commented on the Allegany County Fire Wire page that the victim who was struck is recovering and asks for prayers for her and her children to have strength through the ordeal.
Amity-based State Police confirmed the incident took place in Caneadea around 9 p.m. and said the investigation is still pending.
