Local Shriners gather in Belmont for May meeting

The Allegany County Shrine Club held their May 2023 Dinner and Meeting at “Off Duty Restaurant” in Belmont NY Thursday evening. The meal was great and the camaraderie was beyond reproach.

President John Backhaus (Allegany NY) presented the winners of the Henry rifle and handmade red oak table raffles at the conclusion of the meeting.

Treasure James Erwin (Cuba NY). Vice President Larry Bunk (Friendship NY) and the Illustrious Potentate Ron Bigger (from Buffalo NY) assisted with the presentation.

The Allegany County Shrine Club along with the Shrine Kart Corp donate all their time and  proceeds to the Shriners Children’s Pediatric Care in Erie PA.

Shriners are devoted to supporting their philanthropy with their time, energy, and incredible fundraising skills. The fraternity’s official philanthropy is Shriners Children’s which provides care for kids who have orthopedic conditions, burn injuries, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate, regardless of the families’ ability to pay or insurance status.  Founded in 1922, this healthcare system has treated more than 1.5 million children
