Allegany County vaccination news and the latest statistics

In Wellsville and Allegany County NY, the pandemic is impacting the community more acutely than any other point in the public health crisis. Jones Memorial Hospital is under serious pressure to keep up with the demands of hospitalizations and a staffing shortage. Schools, students, and parents are in a maze of regulations, quarantines, and uncertainty that is becoming normal. Businesses are short staffed and product shortages are impacting everything from the grocery store to the construction company. Today many families in Wellsville are suffering the heartbreak of losing a loved one to this damned virus.

Allegany County Department of Health Canceling October Regular Immunization Clinics

Due to changes in staff at the Allegany County Department of Health (ACDOH), the October regular Immunization Clinics will be canceled. The regular immunization clinics offer vaccines including but not limited to: Tetanus, Diptheria, Pertussis, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Polio, etc. The dates of the canceled clinics are:

Wednesday, October 13, 2021

Monday, October 25, 2021

Someone from the ACDOH clinic will call and reschedule anyone who has an appointment on these dates.

Pharmacies and health care providers throughout Allegany County continue to offer vaccinations. The Allegany County Department of Health (ACDOH) encourages residents to visit their local pharmacy or healthcare provider for needed immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Polio, etc.).

Please find the COVID-19 clinic schedules for the rest of September below. These clinics will be held at the Allegany County Office Building in Belmont, NY. Please bring your vaccination record card, insurance card, and photo ID.
