August 27th, 2021, Olean-based troopers arrested a 27 year old woman from Pennsylvania in the village of Wellsville. After a roadside interview and sobriety assessment, the woman was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. The accused was issued an appearance ticket for a later date in court.

August 27th, 2021, Amity-based troopers arrested a 66 year old West Almond man for a felony and a misdemeanor charge. The felony was for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and the misdemeanor for driving while intoxicated.

*The gentleman should be advised that the modern police patrol car has an array of sensors that scan vehicles around them for non-compliant drivers. Just a heads up, you can’t really get away with this stuff anymore.
August 27th, 2021 Machias-based troopers arrested a Freedom woman for stealing services by tampering with telecom devices or software. The 32-year old was issued an appearance ticket and ROR.

*Think: leeching off some small businesses wifi, secretly installing a cable splitter to divert the neighbors signal and then binge watching pay-per-view until they figure out what’s happening, $874 dollars later. August 28th, 2021, Amity-based troopers arrested a 54 year old man from Scio NY for multiple driving while intoxicated charges. While on patrol in Amity, troopers found the man to be driving while intoxicated and in an aggravated manner. Typically ‘aggravated,’ is a matter of excessive blood alcohol content(BAC.) The man was issued an appearance ticket in the town of Amity court.

August 28th, 2021, Amity-based troopers arrested a 40 year-old woman from Niagara Falls in the Town of Belfast. The accused woman faces a felony charge of assault by recklessly using a weapon to cause serious injury. She was also charged with a misdemeanor offense of criminal mischief with intent to cause property damage. After the Niagara county woman was arrested, she was, you guessed it, ROR.

August 28th, 2021, Wellsville-based troopers responded to a report of a suspicious person and arrested a 47 year-old Friendship woman for stalking in her community at 9:15AM. The misdemeanor charge was levied and the accused was set free with a ticket for a future court date.
