Chick Chick Chicken: An Update

Share:

Mrs. Gardner’s Class at Immaculate Conception School in Wellsville reported a nice hatch of baby chicks this spring and half dozen of them became permanent staff here at the Wellsville Sun. They crew is now over three months old and growing up fast. Sadly one of the original six didn’t survive the wild life of a free ranger and there has never been any stopping this little flock: They stick together and do what they want!!!

Today during a visit to their favorite shady perch under an apple tree I peaked in and snapped this picture. It wasn’t until I started to focus that I noticed our resident whitetail deer, aka “Red Girl,” was posing also!! And yes, to answer your question, the chickens and the deer hang out together every day and know each other well!!
