From Kier Dirlam, Allegany County Director of Planning

Ten municipalities along the Genesee River are working together to create a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program for the Southern Genesee River in Allegany County and we want to hear your thoughts on things like waterfront revitalization area boundaries, erosion mitigation, public access parks, trails, main street revitalization and other economic development. Last week we met in Willing, Wellsville, Scio, Amity/Belmont.

Next Tuesday July 20 and Wednesday July 21 we continue the Local Waterfront Revitalization Project Roadshow in Angelica Community Center [Grange Building] at 4pm Tuesday and Belfast in the Bingo Hall at 6:30pm Tuesday. On Wednesday they will be at a combined session for Caneadea and Hume at the Park Pavilion 24 S. Genesee Street Fillmore at 4pm. See attached flyer for more info. Come talk about your ideas for future improvements along the Genesee River in Allegany County. This plan will help these municipalities plan and grow for the next 20 years. Now is the time to get your thoughts into the plan. Please come out and participate. For more information check out the LWRP Webpage:  http://ingallsplanning.mysocialpinpoint.com/southern…

If you can’t attend one of these sessions but have ideas contact County Planning – Kier Dirlam dirlamhk@alleganyco.com or 585-268-7442 and we will take down your ideas.
