From SPCA – Serving Allegany County, NY, 7/16/21
I’m Poe, and I am starting to feel severely depressed at the shelter. I’ve spent every single day for three months in this very spot, looking out into driveway as people either come to look at animals or leave with their new loves. I am so happy for all of my friends, but it really hurts to still be here. I am such a good boy and I just want a loving home like everyone else.
Could you please help me feel happy again by showing me what it means to be part of a family? I can’t tell you how much I long to meet you and I’ll be right here waiting for you until that date comes.
Poe is 3 years old and an absolute sweetheart. He has a very romantic, laid-back presence and is gentle with everyone he meets, people and animals alike. His favorite object in the world is his scratch post, as he uses it not only for its intended purpose but to relax and nap on. What he wants more than anything is to have a human to love and to love him in return.
