Allegany County Board of Elections: Absentee Ballots Still Uncounted

Share:

After this site reported on the results for the recent Republican primary election, our friend Barb Broughton, the Deputy Commissioner of the Allegany County Board of Elections, sent a nice email explaining that the primary is not over. Absentee ballots haven’t been counted and in some cases, the number of outstanding ballots could technically change the election results. The correction is always welcome, and Allegany County has a top-notch Board of Elections!! From the source :

“The races in District 3 & 4 are very tight-the Absentee’s won’t be opened & counted until next Wednesday(June 30th). The Absentees needed to be postmarked by June 22nd & received in our office by close of business on the 29th.”
