Jobs At The Beach, News From The Hart House, and RAM Seeks Healthcare Workers

Remote Area Medical- RAM®—a major nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics delivering free, quality, dental, vision and medical care to underserved and uninsured individuals—is coming to Belmont, NY on October 9th and October 10th. To fulfill its goal of treating 400-500 area-wide patients, RAM is searching for NYS licensed dental, vision, and medical professionals to volunteer their time. General volunteers are also needed. The Hart House Will Reopen June 1st, Volunteers Please

The Comfort House of Allegany County in Wellsville is reopening on Tuesday June 1st. The coronavirus shut down the house last year, idling volunteers and causing concern for potential clients. All volunteers will need to show proof of vaccination. The House has lost a number of volunteers during the pandemic and is actively seeking new volunteer help. Contact them on Facebook, or email:

Rushford Lake Public Beach Seeks Recreation Director

Allegany County is looking to hire a Recreation Director and up to ten lifeguards to oversee public beach operations at Rushford Lake for the 2021 swim season. The public beach is set to open on Memorial Day weekend. The beach will remain open to the public on weekends until June 20, 2021. Beginning June 26, 2021, the beach will open to the public daily from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. This schedule will continue through Labor Day weekend. The beach will close for the season on September 7, 2021. According to approved budget figures, the Rec Director would be paid $620 per week and Lifeguards would receive $12.50 per hour.
