90 Days of the Wellsville Sun

The month of May marks three months of producing this website dedicated to providing information and perspective on daily life in Wellsville, Allegany County, and Western New York State. Each week has featured dozens of articles on a range of subjects: County elections, major crime stories, poetry and photography, special interests, and many community events.

In the last month you have hopefully noticed that the undisputed “King of Wellsville Media”, Michael T. Baldwin, has been contributing some really great content. Thousands of readers of his Wellsville Regional News network felt a real loss when that site ceased in February. Hopefully his regular involvement in this site has helped fill that void. The Wellsville Sun is more than grateful for Michael T.’s contributions and for allowing us to lean on his lifetime of experience. Just search the site for “Michael T” and you will find his reporting to date.

Sponsorship of this site has continued to be both humbling and motivating. Below you will find all of the local businesses who have, and continue to provide the financial wherewithal for this site. They have allowed for real growth and investment in the future of the Wellsville Sun. We have partnered with a local web development firm, Duell Design, to add some new features to the site and to build us a sister site which will be announced in the middle of this month. Advertising on this site can be weekly, monthly, or annually and is the most affordable mass media marketing option available with rates as low as $5.50 per day!! Email today and ask how to get on our site, or future sites!!

Advertising is not the only way you can support the Wellsville Sun. Many generous residents, ex-residents, and business owners have made financial contributions to this effort. It is a point of pride that this site be provided to readers without a paywall or required subscription. Perhaps an even more important policy of the ‘Sun’ is that we provide FREE exposure to community groups, first responders, and many non-profit operations. We want to help the local auxiliary raise money, draw attention to accomplishments, and spread the word about important community events. We want to put the best light on Wellsville possible and you can help with providing financial support. Our PayPal door is always open and you can always send payments(or hate mail) to Wellsville Sun, 3196 South Hill Road, Wellsville NY 14895.

Thank you for your readership during these early stages of the Wellsville Sun. If you are interested in writing for this site it would be great to hear from you. We encourage reader participation through editorials, special interest writing, and tips on stories that are important. Also be sure to connect with us on Facebook where our best stories are posted for respectful commentary and sharing of opinions!! Wellsville Sun on Facebook
