Alan D. CARLIN, 78, of Wellsville, NY, died Monday, March 22, 2021 in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester.
Born October 16, 1942, in Wellsville, he was the son of Edward W. and Eleanor Ketchner Carlin. On August 9, 1963, in Black Creek, he married the former Janet Marie Comstock, who survives. A 1960 graduate of Wellsville High School, he studied at Alfred State College for two years. Al was employed by Air Preheater in Wellsville for 38 years.
Surviving besides his wife, Janet, are: two children, Amy (Bill) Henry of Webster and Todd (Christy) Carlin of Bowling Green, KY; two granddaughters, Morgan Henry and Anna Henry; five siblings, Rebecca (Harry) Campbell of Arlington, TX, Lois (Joseph) Spinelli of Wellsville, Kathi (Dennis) Dunham of Wellsville, Roger (Cheryl) Carlin of Oak Ridge, TN, and Theresa (Patrick) Hickson of Bivalve, MD; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Jordan Henry.
Private services will be held at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Cremation, Crowell Chapel, 296 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY. Burial will be in Hallsport Cemetery.
