Used Clothing Sheds Have Major Impact

Allegany County Solid Waste Customers help clothe nearly 20,000 individuals in 2020. Allegany County operates 7 used clothing drop-off sheds, one at each County operated transfer station.

Throughout the 2020 calendar year, Allegany County residents donated 237,604 pounds of wearable clothing which was enough to clothe an estimated 18,950 people around the world.

Allegany County would like to thank all customers who have contributed to these clothing drop-offs. As a reminder, these sheds are open during normal business hours and accept wearable clothing only.
