Clothing Giveaway
St. John’s Episcopal Church in Wellsville is hosting their annual Great Big Clothing Giveaway on Saturday, October 10, from 11 am to 2 pm on the church lawn.
Winter coats and other clothing items will be set up in garage-sale style, but everything is free. All are welcome to shop and get ready for winter with us.
Donations for giveaway are welcome and can be left at the back door of the church anytime before October 4.
St. John’s is conveniently located at 206 N. Main in Wellsville, across the street from UR Jones hospital.
Blessing of the Pets
In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, the Episcopal Churches of Allegany County will offer the Blessing of the Pets during Sunday morning services: October 4 at 11am at St. John’s Wellsville, October 11 at 9am at St. Paul’s Angelica, and October 11 at 11am at Christ Church Cuba.
Well-behaved pets may accompany their humans into the church itself to be blessed during the service. Larger pets are welcome on the church lawn and will be blessed immediately following each service. For pets unable to attend the service or who are no longer with us, photos of pets are welcome for blessing. Children may also bring stuffed animals to be blessed.
