Today, we proudly recognize and celebrate the dedicated men and women serving as Corrections Officers at the Allegany County Jail.
These professionals work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the safety, security, and orderly operation of our correctional facility. Their role is demanding and often unseen, requiring vigilance, professionalism, and a deep commitment to public service.
Corrections Officers are responsible not only for maintaining custody and control, but also for treating those in their care with fairness, respect, and dignity. They manage complex and often challenging situations with integrity and resilience each and every day.
We also recognize the families of our Corrections Officers, who share in the sacrifices that come with this profession. Long hours, overnight shifts, holidays spent apart, and the stress that accompanies the job all impact the home. Their support, understanding, and strength make it possible for our officers to serve with focus and dedication, and for that, we are deeply grateful.
