Despite the controversy over the bid process, Root Trucking and Logging started work today on the erosion that is threatening a Dyke Creek levy, on the east side of Wellsville. The work, being done in tandem by a large bulldozer and excavator, intends to stop the erosion on the north side of the creek, just behind Wellsville Hardware. The project was approved by the Wellsville town board in a unanimous vote during last week’s emergency meeting.
