Rushford Lake’s Biggest Summer Celebration Returns!

The sights and sounds of summer will fill the Rushford Lake Dam once again as Dam Day 2026 returns on Saturday, August 8, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., inviting residents and visitors alike to enjoy a full day of family fun while supporting one of Western New York’s most treasured landmarks.
Hosted by the Rushford Lake Landowners Association, Dam Day has become a signature summer tradition, bringing together the community to celebrate the historic Rushford Lake Dam while raising funds to help preserve and protect the nearly 100-year-old structure.
This year’s event features something for everyone, including live music from a DJ, a Chicken BBQ by Krolick’s BBQ, Dam Tours that take visitors behind the scenes of the dam, basket and meat raffles, a 50/50 raffle, a boat raffle sponsored by Seager Marina, local vendors, Rushford Lake apparel and souvenirs, and plenty of food throughout the day.
One of the day’s highlights is the opportunity to tour the inside of the historic dam. Led by local experts, these guided tours offer a rare look at the engineering and history behind the structure that has helped define Rushford Lake for generations.
Visitors can also shop from local vendors, enjoy great food, take home unique raffle prizes, and experience the welcoming atmosphere that has made Dam Day one of the area’s favorite community events.
While admission is free, proceeds from raffles, food sales, merchandise, and special events help support ongoing efforts to preserve and promote the Rushford Lake Dam and the surrounding community.
Whether you’re a longtime lake resident, a former visitor returning for the weekend, or someone looking for a memorable summer outing, Dam Day offers a chance to experience the beauty, history, and community spirit that make Rushford Lake such a special destination.
