Granville man caught by Wellsville village police officers after brief foot chase

The accused has been arrested for crimes dating back to May 2022, jailed by Justice Karl Graves

Wellsville Police arrested Brandon W. Flint, age 28 of Granville, NY, with charges that cover three separate incidents in the Village of Wellsville.

Flint was charged with Criminal Impersonation 2nd following an investigation into an incident that took place on West Dyke Street in May of 2022. Flint was also charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd (Class D Felony), Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd, Reckless Driving, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle 3rd, Speed in Zone and Failure to stop at a Stop Sign.

The charges stem from an incident that started on Nelson Avenue and resulted in a traffic accident in Island Park/Lagoon Recreation Area that damaged fencing in the Park. This incident took place on July 9th. Flint was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest as a result of Wellsville Police responding to a disturbance on West State Street this morning involving Flint. Following a brief foot pursuit Flint was taken into custody on Early Street.

Flint was processed and arraigned before Town of Wellsville Justice Graves. Flint was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $10,000.00 cash bail or $20,000.00 property bond, or $40,000.00 partially secured bond. Flint is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on August 16th at 4:30 pm. Additional charges are pending.
