National Trails Day at Moss Lake Preserve in Houghton NY set for June 7

FREE Guided hike is for all ages and is handicap-accessible and stroller friendly!

From the Nature Conservancy,

Celebrate National Trails Day and upgrades at the beloved Moss Lake Preserve, including a wheelchair accessible trail, boardwalk and viewing platform, and a fully accessible picnic area with an ADA-compliant picnic table that overlooks the postglacial, 15-acre bog lake designated a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service in 1973.

10-11 a.m.: Meet at the parking lot for a guided hike featuring new accessibility features at Moss Lake Preserve. Stroller, wheelchair and other assistive device users welcome.

12-2:30 p.m.: Bring your own picnic and a blanket or chair to celebrate the new features at Moss Lake, and drop by The Nature Conservancy’s table to meet the steward, Alison Agresta, and to learn some interesting facts about Moss Lake.
