ACES has a series of events taking place to celebrate eighty years of service on the Alfred State campus.
From Alfred State College, Pictured ACES retirees and current employees and board members got together to celebrate the milestone.
ALFRED, NY, September 21, 2026 – ACES, Auxiliary Campus Enterprise & Services, is celebrating eighty years of serving Alfred State. ACES oversees campus dining, the campus store, transportation, laundry, ID cards, vending machines, and catering.
Jonna Anne, Executive Director of ACES understands the significance of the anniversary. “Eighty years represents generations of employees, board members, campus partners, and students who have helped shape Alfred State and the services that support campus life every day. We celebrate not just an organization, but the people behind it.”
“ACES is an incredible partner and an important part of the Alfred State community,” commented President Steven Mauro. “The essential services they provide make a difference in the lives of our students every day, and they deliver those services with genuine care and dedication. Congratulations to ACES on eighty years of outstanding service. We are proud to celebrate this milestone together and look forward to continuing our strong partnership for many years to come.”
Anne added, “For eighty years, ACES employees have shown up every day ready to solve problems, support students, and serve this campus community.”
To celebrate serving Alfred State since 1946, ACES is hosting events throughout the school year but will highlight each of their dining options during the week of Sept. 28.
Monday, Sept. 28:
- Sloppy Joe and Shoestring Fries special at Alfie’s
- Root Beer in a glass bottle special at Amigos
- Sliders and Shoestring Fries at TimberLinez
Tuesday, Sept. 29:
- Free fudgesicles at the Nook
Wednesday, Sept. 30:
- Anniversary cake created by Culinary Arts at the Rig (11 AM – 1 PM)
- Almond Joy Frappe Special at Ever Green
Thursday, Oct. 1
- ACES 80th Anniversary Block Party will take place from 4 – 6 PM in the Green Space outside Central Dining Hall
Friday, Oct. 2
- Mini Cakes will be served at the Terrace
Earlier this month, ACES hosted an Anniversary Dinner at Lake Lodge. The evening featured a celebration of the eighty years of service to ASC. Current and retired ACES employees, board members, and college administration joined together in the evening that featured great food, fellowship, and comments from Anne, Mauro, and past ACES Executive Director Dave Sengstock.
