Multiple town offices have no candidate on the ballot

The upcoming November 3 election is very competitive on the national and state levels, but locally voters have fewer options than ever. Every major county office is an uncontested election: the District Attorney, the Sheriff, and the County Judge position are essentially decided. When it comes to town and village ballots, almost all offices have a single candidate. Multiple town offices have no candidate running for the position at all, whoever gets the most write-ins wins.
Across Allegany County, there are just nine offices with more than one candidate, listed below.
