Herbert T. “Herb” Vanluvanee – 94 – formerly of Green Meadow Acres, Campbell, NY, died Saturday afternoon (August 22, 2026) at Elderwood at Hornell Nursing Facility where he has resided for the past 3 years.

Born in Doylestown, PA on March 10, 1932, he was the son of William & Elenior (Hinkle) Vanluvanee. 

He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country from 1952 – 1956 and continuing his military service as a member of the US Navy Reserves from 1956 – 1960. 

Herb grew up in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and resided in the Campbell, NY area for about

50 years.  He was self-employed as an independent truck driver, primarily serving New York State and Pennsylvania. 

An avid NASCAR fan, Herb enjoyed rooting for his favorite driver, Harry Grant.  He also enjoyed coin collecting and woodworking. 

He had been married for a time to the former Audrey Miller who died in 1997.  He later married the former Ellen Salisbury who died in 2023.  Herb was also preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister.

Surviving are his son, Brian Vanluvanee of Nicholson, PA; his daughter, Deborah Baldwin of Kingsley, NJ; two stepsons, Richard “Rick” (Michelle) Salisbury of Bath and Tige (Jennifer) Salisbury of Bath; along with several other relatives & friends.

At Herb’s request there will be no calling hours.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with final interment in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath, NY.

Herb’s family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
