The Dawgs travel softball team continues to shine

Celebrating 15 years of softball success!

From the Dawgs,

The Dawgs Travel softball team continued their success in 2026. The Dawgs, in their 15th year of existence enjoyed a great summer of softball. Over these 15 years, the Dawgs have accumulated over 550 wins and over 70 tournament championships/finals appearances. The organization takes great pride in player development, which has produced several players going on to play at the collegiate level.

This year‘s team set a new standard for college-ready players. Almost every player on the Dawg’s roster has played or has committed to play in college.

Players on the 2026 roster include the following:

Maddie Millard (Lock Haven),

Sawyer Burke (St. Bonaventure),

Hannah Powers (Alfred State),

Nicole Youngberg (Alfred State),

Lindsay Stuck (Keuka College),

Carilene Sliwa (Gannon commit),

Teagan Burke (Buffalo State commit),

Brynn Hallock (Hilbert commit ),

Jayna Thomas (Keuka College commit).

Rylee Whiting (Elmira College commit),

Kylee Whiting (Bolivar-Richburg-Junior).

Head Coach Matt Burke credits the success of the Dawgs to the hard work and dedication of both players and parents in the organization and tremendous support from a variety of communities. The Dawgs travel softball team placed 2nd at USSSA 16u Nationals in 2021 and won the 16u USSSA National Championship in 2025. 

“We have a great group of kids and a tremendous group of selfless parents; that is what makes our organization special. We are looking forward to more great travel seasons in 2027 and beyond,” said Burke
