Concert to benefit the Babcock Theatre Society, tickets only $10

WELLSVILLE, NY: Starlight Theatre Company, Wellsville’s own community theatre group, will bring your favorite movie songs to life this Friday, April 24th with Movie Melodies! This live concert features local vocalists from the Allegany County region who will take audiences on a musical journey through decades of movie magic!
The one-night-only event will be held at the Grace United Mission Center (former Christian Temple) on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 7:00 PM. The address is 99 Maple Avenue, Wellsville, NY 14895.
This concert is a fundraiser for the Babcock Movie Theatre Preservation Society, to aid in their efforts to revitalize the downtown Wellsville movie theater. Admission to the concert is free, but a suggested donation of $10 is encouraged to support the restoration project.
“We want to do our small part to encourage the community to donate to the Babcock Theatre Society as they renovate the historic movie theatre,” said Bella Wenslow, Starlight Theatre Company president. “Many don’t know that a performance stage exists behind the movie screen; they even used to do vaudeville shows there in the 1930s. We hope to be able to perform shows there too once the theatre is up and running, and continue Wellsville’s long history of quality live theatre!”
Audiences of all ages are welcomed to Movie Melodies this Friday! Feel free to come decked out in your best “red carpet” style, as you delight in an evening of music and entertainment! Doors will open at 6:30 PM.
