Alfred State College (ASC) hosted the 2026 SkillsUSA New York State Leadership and Skills Conference Postsecondary Championship, and ten students earned the right to compete at Nationals with their performance. The event, held on ASC’s Wellsville campus, featured thirty-three students competing in one of the nation’s most prestigious showcases of career and technical aptitude.
Students from Alfred State and the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) competed for a chance to advance to the 62nd National SkillsUSA Championship to be held in Atlanta, GA, June 1 to June 5. At Nationals, more than 6,500 students compete in 114 occupational and leadership skill areas.
