The Hornell Red Raiders football program is one of the most-respected and decorated in New York State.

You can add the girls to that legacy.

The Hornell Red Raiders girls’ flag football team opened the 2026 campaign with a 52-13 win over Geneseo on Monday night, a game fittingly played in football weather, chilly with some snow.

Junior quarterback Raegan Evingham threw six touchdowns in the victory.

Speedster Selena Maldonado got behind the defense and also caught passes and raced to the endzone, scoring four touchdown, then the senior added a fifth on a 17-yard run.

Junior wide receiver Alexis SMith caught two touchdowns and running back Parker Graham, a senior, ran for a touchdown.

Next up for the high-scoring Red Raiders is a game in Avon on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
