Betterment & Beautification Grants Available for Wellsville

Grants up to $500 to make downtown Wellsville beautiful and better !

WELLSVILLE, NY – The Wellsville Development Corporation (WDC) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Betterment & Beautification Mini Grant Program.

Local clubs, service organizations, residents, business owners, churches, nonprofits, and community groups with a vested interest in the Wellsville area are encouraged to apply for grants of up to $500 to support beautification and placemaking projects. The application deadline is May 1, 2026.

“The mini grant program is an opportunity to uplift the neighborhoods we live in and revive a spirit of collective work and shared responsibility in our community,” said WDC President Molly Cole. “Betterment and beautification are broadly defined and may include projects such as public art, community clean-ups, tree plantings, façade improvements, and more. These efforts not only enhance our surroundings but also strengthen community pride and encourage grassroots collaboration.”

The Betterment & Beautification Grant Program was created to advance the WDC’s mission of revitalization and community enhancement. Proposed projects must support at least one of the following principles:

·        Support economic growth and development

·        Utilize and strengthen community connections

·        Enhance the beauty and aesthetics of the community

·        Foster a sense of unity within the community

Applications must be submitted by May 1, 2026 and are available online at:

Applicants are encouraged to review all requirements prior to submission. Questions regarding the application or proposed projects may be directed to wlsvdevelopmentcorp@gmail.com.

Grant recipients will be announced no later than May 31, 2026, and a project completion report will be due November 1, 2026.
