New Yorkers are used to winter weather, but we shouldn’t take this weekend’s forecast lightly.

I’m declaring a State of Emergency to make sure local leaders have the tools to keep their communities safe.

Travel may become difficult, so plan accordingly.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority – MTA working to minimize disruptions

• Human services agencies protecting our most vulnerable

Please don’t put yourself at risk this weekend. Take steps to prepare now:

• Monitor local forecasts

• Stock up on essentials like food and medication

• Make sure your car has gas

• Plan to stay home once the weather hits

New Yorkers are tough. We’ll get through whatever Mother Nature brings our way this weekend.
