Personal Pan Pizza Returns: Everything old is new again!

If you grew up in the 80’s and 90’s, the loss of Pizza Hut was real. We grew up on those breadsticks, the salad bar, the deep dish pizza, the red checkered table coverings, the whole national franchise package.
Pizza Hut was the place we went with our friends after school, I think the bread sticks with a salad bar and a drink in the red plastic cups was five bucks before dinner hour!
The magic faded and the Pizza Hut’s all over the country closed, leaving the red roof buildings vacant. We got over it and great pizza joints like Pizza King and Giovanni’s filled the void.
2026 will see the return of Pizza Hut to Hornell, back to the very same red roofed location in the Hornell Plaza 1000 St. Route 36. A January 5th Grand Opening is planned and supported by the mighty Hornell Partners for Growth, a non-profit dedicated to supporting businesses in the Maple City.
The public is invited to the Grand Opening on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Pizza Hut in the Hornell Plaza. A large crowd is expected for the event and the rest of that week.
Pizza Hut’s hours of operation are expected to be open daily at 11am until 10pm Sunday thru Thursday, open until 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
