Lisa Clark Shay of East Wind Landscape & Nursery, winner of the Most Creative Tree
From the Wreaths Across America Committee,
For the past fourteen years community organizations, individuals, and businesses have supported the Annual Belmont Park Circle Christmas Tree Decorating Contest. Each tree sponsored provides a wreath to be placed on the grave of a deceased veteran in a Belmont cemetery on Wreaths Across America Day held nationwide in December each year. The Belmont Legion Family Wreaths Across America Committee would like thank all those participating in this year’s event.

Our appreciation to the following: The Belmont Rotary Club, Belmont Literary and Historical Society Free Library, Belmont Fire Department, Belmont Legion Auxiliary, Belmont American Legion, The Family of Wilbur “Cy” Dawson, Full Gospel Church, Holy Family Catholic Church, Donna DiGirolamo – Town of Amity and Village of Belmont Memorial Tree, The Josh Francisco Family, Gil’s Hills, Amity Rescue Squad, Belmont ALCO Credit Union, East Wind Landscape and Nursery, and the Belmont Legion Family Wreaths Across America Committee.
Although judges Netti White and Gena Decker braved chilly temperatures and plenty of snow, they trudged on cheerfully in Belmont’s Park Circle admiring the decorative efforts put forth by those who sponsored trees this year. Winners this year are as follows:
Most Creative: East Wind Landscape and Nursery
Most Beautiful: Gils Hills
Best Expresses a Theme: Belmont Legion Auxiliary

The Belmont Legion Family Wreaths Across America Committee deeply appreciates the assistance of the Village of Belmont Board and the village crew. We are certainly fortunate to have such support.
