Highly unorthodox it was, but that’s Wellsville High’s rebel Class of 1963 for you!  It seems we missed each other so much, we simply couldn’t wait the customary five years for our next reunion.

Instead, only one year after our official 2024 gathering, sixteen of us classmates re-united September 12, 13, and 14th, traveling to Wellsville from Maine, Manhattan, Boston and Michigan.  We dined on pasta at L’Italia and ate sauerbraten and beef on kummelweck at The Beef Haus.  But, of course…not before paying homage to the Texas Hot!

Some stopped by our beautiful Library. Some visited the awesome churches.  Others just wandered sight-seeing, with awe at the care taken to revive beloved old buildings and with a new appreciation for the amazing architecture we saw everywhere, often accentuated with stained glass art; balconies, porticos, and glorious old-growth trees. We saw it new, with our eighty-year old, loving eyes.

Could we help our prideful humming of Springsteen’s This is My Hometown?
