Wellsville, NY — The Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc. (WVAC) is proud to announce that Saputo has generously presented a $5,000 donation to support the acquisition of a new inflatable rescue boat for the organization’s Technical Rescue Team.
This critical piece of equipment will enhance WVAC’s ability to respond to swift water emergencies, floods, and other water-related rescues throughout the region. The inflatable rescue boat is a vital addition that increases both the safety of responders and the speed at which life-saving operations can be carried out.
Today, members of WVAC visited Saputo’s Friendship plant to showcase the new inflatable boat and demonstrate the advanced rescue capabilities it brings to the community.
“We are deeply grateful to Saputo for their support and generosity,” said Greg Taylor, Rescue Chief of WVAC. “This donation helps ensure that our crews have the right tools when seconds matter most. Community partnerships like this make it possible for us to continue strengthening emergency response capabilities in Wellsville and beyond.”
WVAC’s Technical Rescue Team has been steadily expanding its resources and training to meet the growing needs of the community. The addition of the inflatable rescue boat, supported by Saputo’s contribution, marks another important step in advancing rescue readiness.
The Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc. extends sincere thanks to Saputo for their commitment to community safety and for investing in lifesaving resources that will serve the residents of Allegany County for years to come.
