LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF SCIO
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED LOCAL LAW
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Town Board of the Town of Scio at the Town Hall, 4335 County Road 10, Scio, New York, at 5:30 P.M. on September 10, 2025 concerning Introductory Local Law Number 3 of 2025, entitled “A Local Law to Override the Real Property Tax Cap Levy Established by General Municipal Law Section 3-c.” The purpose of the proposed local law is to authorize the Town Board to adopt a budget for 2026 that provides for an increase in the real property tax levy in excess of 2.0% of the levy for 2025. A copy of the proposed local law is available for inspection at the office of the Town Clerk.
At such time and place all persons interested in the subject matter of the proposed local law will be heard concerning the same.
