Tuesday, June 11th at the Wellsville Secondary School, the Wellsville Music Department featured 7 Area Schools from across Allegany County.

  • Belfast CSD- Mrs. Tara Luthart
  • Scio CSD- Mr. Adam Stack
  • Wellsville CSD- Mr. Jeff Joslyn & Mr. Noah Luthart
  • Cuba-Rushford CSD- Ms Haley Emhof
  • Fillmore CSD- Mrs. Jessica Chapman
  • Bolivar-Richburg CSD- Mrs. Becky Freeman-Brauen
  • Genesee Valley CSD- Mr. Alva Robbin’s

That evening boasted several outstanding jazz performances, as student musicians from across our county come together for this special event to raise money for the Hart Comfort House.  100% proceeds benefit the Hart Comfort House in Wellsville, providing compassionate care for those in need.  Jeff Joslyn, host of Jazz in Bloom stated, “This is our second year doing this type of event, and I’m so proud to see the community come out and help support local non-profits!  The community gives to the school for our kids to learn, now it’s the kids chance to give back to the community through their gift of music.  We had a great turnout!”

Special Thank You to local restaurants for donating gift certificates to raffle off during the change of jazz sets:  The Texas Hot, L’Italia, Modern Diner, & The Radix (Cuba area).
