BUFFALO – Larry L. Cole, 72, formerly of Belfast and Caneadea, passed away on Tuesday (June 10, 2025) at Hart Comfort House in Wellsville following a lengthy illness.

Larry was born on July 3, 1952 in Cuba to Ernest R. and Helen (Mowers) Cole. He attended Belfast Central School in Belfast.

Larry worked in maintenance at the Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo for many years. Prior to that he worked at many area farms before moving to Buffalo.

Larry is survived by a daughter, Shawna (Darin) Hodgkins of Bolivar; a son, Jayson (Christine) Harrier of Georgia; five brothers, Leroy (Rose) Cole and Roger Cole, both of Belmont, Terry Cole of Batavia, Barry (Mary Lou) Cole of Goergia and Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Cole of Belfast; four sisters, Bonnie (Charlie) Vince of Freedom, Susan Cole of Avon, Linda Hennard of Belfast and Laurie Cole of Birdsall; the mother of his daughter, Tamara Cole; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three infant siblings, Kenneth Cole, Larry Cole and Kathy Cole; two brothers, Michael Cole and Brian Cole; a sister, Brenda Cole; and two brothers-in-law, Don Hennard and Dennis Davis.

Larry was known for his quick wit and he loved to crack jokes.

There will be no prior visitation. A graveside service will be held on Saturday (July 12) at 10:00 a.m. at the Bellview Cemetery in New Hudson where his ashes will be laid to rest beside his parents.
